PROGRAM COORDIANTOR, SENIOR
Level 11
Responsible To: Division Chief/Program Director, Administrative Manager, and/or their Designees.
Summary: The incumbent will work independently and is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing various activities across the PA Program to support PA students, curriculum, program, and accreditation efforts.
Work Performed:
- Support coordination of course activities, for the following courses: Physiology, Anatomy, BMS, PAC1,2,3, EBP1, PHS1 Medical Spanish and Bridge. This includes working closely with the faculty course coordinators to:
- To invite and communicate with lecturers.
- Order and manage supplies as needed.
- Share information for guest lecture/facilitator payments to ensure they are accurate and processed
in a timely manner.
- Manage Canvas course sites to best support student’s accessibility to course related documents (course
objectives, assignments, tests and quizzes, lectures)
- Coordinate student groups/scheduling as needed
- Manage transportation, technology, and setup needs for all course activities.
- Support data gathering and management using Qualtrics
- Assist as needed in coordinating the pre-clinical and clinical year calendar and input of all scheduling for students to ensure that all program courses are captured and the calendars align across the program.
- Support student services and activities, including various program events (lunches, picnics, white coat ceremony, etc.)
- Onboarding and orientation
- Special lunches/meals/term treats
- A/V student liaison to Mike Connery/IT Analyst
- Kiosks and signage
- Compliance activities (BLS, Flu vaccines, drug testing, etc.)
- Solve problems as de facto IT support for students and coworkers in systems such as Word, Excel, Qualtrics, Exam Soft, Exam Driver, Tableau and Canvas.
4: Act as divisional PA Program point person and work closely with Division Chief and Program Director on special projects which include:
- Accreditation activities – assist as needed with gathering data, completing the ARC application, updating documents and the program information in the ARC portal
- Assist with faculty search committees and strategic planning activities Develop and generate special reports as requested by faculty
- Assist faculty with preparation of various program documents (student handbook, faculty onboarding and School of Medicine bulletin).
- Plan and coordinate all preclinical year focus groups led by Program Director
- Proctor exams when needed
Supe Supervision Received:
The principle supervisor of this position is the Administrative Manager. The Division Chief/Program Director also provides staff oversight. The Senior Program Coordinator also maintains a close working relationship with the PA Division Chief/Program Director, PA faculty, staff and students.
Qualifications:
This position requires organizational and communication skills that generally are acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of relevant education
