The role:
As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will help drive our goals by:
Leading day-to-day warehouse shift activities, providing clear direction, regular communication and support to Warehouse Technicians
Role modelling Johnson Matthey’s values while promoting a strong safety culture aligned to EHS standards and Life Saving Policies
Coordinating shipping, receiving, material storage and timely delivery of materials to support production requirements
Supporting team development through coaching, performance feedback and contribution to annual performance reviews in partnership with the Warehouse Supervisor
Ensuring effective onboarding, training and documentation for new team members
Leading problem-solving activities, escalating operational or safety issues where required and supporting continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
2–3 years of warehouse or material control experience, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred
Working knowledge of EHS, OSHA and hazardous material handling and shipping requirements
Confidence using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based, high-volume operation
