PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Business Intelligence (BI) manager develops and maintains the operational BI strategy. This involves setting direction, guiding the planning process to develop the vision and business rationale, and establishing the overall approach. The BI manager coordinates multiple projects and ensures that the work products and processes of the project teams meet the defined standards. The BI manager works with multiple business constituencies, manages their expectations and establishes priorities. The BI manager must have a comprehensive understanding of operational and business requirements across the enterprise. They drive the completion of projects within the established scope, while simultaneously planning for and managing unknown future BI requirements in a dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sets the direction for Business Intelligence processes, guidelines, best practices and communications
- Manages resources and prioritizations in alignment with the Enterprise Anlytics
- Measures success/ROI related to BI development
- Works with Director on budget related activities
- Partners with senior management to understand and deliver performance insights and key analytics solutions.
- Consults with clients and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution. Understands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factors these into solutions.
- Manages BI analysts’ interaction with other IT business intelligence personnel and Enterprise Anaytics partners to implement business intelligence and reporting solutions that meet the needs of the internal or external customers
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Able to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively determining root cause and long term solutions while minimizing impacts to the environment and end users.
- Able to understand and interpret requirements and impacts and needs from initial request through final delivery.
- Demonstrate competency in Agile and Lean Principles and Methodologies
- Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, computer science, and finance, engineering, or information systems required. Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years experience with deep knowledge of Enterprise EMR workflows. Previous supervisory/management experience required.
