About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, you, as a Marketing Copywriter, will help drive our marketing forward. You will write and edit compelling copy for landing pages, direct response ads and content across digital, video, podcast, internet, and email. You will be the go-to for creative messaging, strategy, and ideas, using data-driven insights to support your work and build lead-generating content.

This role is on-site, five days/week at our West Hollywood,CA office.


Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing copy to drive user engagement and conversions across various platforms.
  • Write copy that inspires action and fits creative briefs for digital ads, emails, videos, podcasts, and podcasts.
  • Craft impactful landing page content that effectively communicates the value of our courses and programs, driving user sign-ups and enrollments.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing strategies.
  • Write weekly emails for acquisition, retention, promotion, and communication to our email subscribers.
  • Write YouTube episode descriptions, titles, and headlines that grab the viewer's attention and accurately represent the content of the video.
  • Create podcast descriptions that accurately summarize the content of each episode and entice listeners to tune in.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, cadence, and vocabulary throughout all written materials, adhering to the brand voice guidelines provided in the Brand Voice Breakdown document.
  • Find and apply insights from marketing data, consumer research, and leading marketing practices to your writing and the firm's creative projects.
  • Create a steady stream of proactive copy ideas to find new avenues for success.
  • Embrace and leverage AI as a valuable tool for swift, customized output.
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting and marketing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Copywriting experience in the Direct Response space on the client or agency side.
  • Proven success in growing subscription-based or educational course revenue via copy testing in digital ad copy elements (headline, body, CTA), email marketing, video ad scripts, and the like.
  • Experience researching, creating, and launching new cold funnels that have scaled profitably is a huge plus.
  • Direct Response writing samples are required.
  • The position is located on-site in West Hollywood, CA.
  • BA Journalism, English, Marketing, or related fields preferred.


Compensation for this position is a range of $110k to $140k per year depending on experience.
