Job Summary:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level while making a vital impact on your community? The City of Largo is looking for a skilled and motivated Wastewater Collection Technician II to join our high-performing Utilities team.

In this progressively intensive role, you'll perform a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of the City's sanitary wastewater collection system. This is essential fieldwork that keeps our community running smoothly—no two days are the same!

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain wastewater collection equipment

• Perform heavy manual labor in a variety of environmental conditions

• Respond to service calls, emergencies, and maintenance needs

• Interpret and work from blueprints and as-built utility maps

• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure system integrity

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Class "B" CDL with Tanker endorsement

• FWPCOA Wastewater Collections “B” Certification

• CPR/First Aid Certification

• 2+ years of experience as a Wastewater Collection Technician I or equivalent

• Physical ability to perform heavy labor outdoors in all weather

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety

Must Complete Within One Year of Hire:

• Intermediate MOT training

• FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, & 800

• Confined Space & Trench Safety Training

• NASSCO PACP Certification
