SUMMARY

Directing, organizing and evaluating rehabilitation programs services and personnel in designated HLTC facility, in a manner that supports the goals of HLTC and of Hamilton Health Care System while maintaining federal and state regulations the state specific practice acts for Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

Exempt Status: May be required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. Subject to callback during any emergency.

ESSENTIAL SKILL/KNOWLEDGE FUNCTIONS

• Coordinates and manages all related aspects of care delivery for Rehabilitation Services at the designated HLTC facility.
• Oversees operations, programs, and therapy services in inpatient and outpatient Rehabilitation Services.
• Assists with planning and implementation of patient and non-patient care activities to achieve desired clinical outcomes and organizational objectives and program development.
• Develops and grows the staff, establishing sound relationships with physicians, clinicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders to accomplish service line goals.
• Ensures continuous process improvement and redesign in therapy services and patient experience.
• Engages in research and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical, operational, financial, logistical, and leadership processes.
• Develops and maintains systems which build and enhance the facilitys reputation for being the unparalleled provider of rehab to the elderly and demonstrate the facilitys approach to interdisciplinary care.
• Communicating regularly with facility administrator and HLTC support.
• Managing use of computerized systems to optimize data quality and maximize therapist efficiency.
• Managing Medicare Medical Review and Denials Management process
• Monitors financial performance of rehab department and effectively seeks methods to improve this performance while ensuring that the facil
