Duties

Responsible for supporting stormwater/water construction projects through planning, design, construction and post construction phases.  Provide field inspections for a variety of storm water/condition assessment/underground engineering projects (sanitary sewer, tunnels, stream restorations, sand filters, micro-bio retention facilities, pond retrofits, large underground structures etc.).  Coordinate and manage project on-site team coordination for all active projects.  Manage and oversee contractor’s compliance with all requirements of project design specifications and drawings with applicable permits, laws, & oversight agencies, and handle construction disputes & claims.  Collaborate and provide project oversight by maintaining communications between project teams, clients and contractors to deliver all projects on time, at or under budget, and to the client’s expected standard of quality.  Provide input concerning constructability and biddability during design and review project schedules and budgets to evaluate any conflicts and recommend changes.   Oversee a team of resident construction inspectors.  No hire / fire authority. 

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of five years of related experience. Must have Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation.  Must have experience with the following technologies: ProCore Construction Management Tool; AutoCAD; SharePoint; PowerBI; ARCGIS; and Bluebeam.  Must have experience with engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to stormwater best management practices.  Must have experience working within NPDES and SSHA regulations.  Must have experience working with Total Maximum Discharge Limits (TMDL) requirements.  Must have experience managing a portfolio of projects within the planning and construction management field.  Must have experience managing client communication and client expectations within the scope of a project.  Local travel required up to 50% of the time.  Must be able to communicate effectively in the company interest. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
