Description Overview
Working in the Asset Reliability Facilities team; this position will be required to perform inspections, basic maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on facilities equipment along with some manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Scope of the Role
This position will also be required to perform other general maintenance tasks as needed. Responsibilities also include completing general work orders in SAP, interfacing with other technicians across all three shifts in a team environment, machine rebuilding, preventive maintenance, special projects, and may also include welding or machining of parts.
This is a Facilities Maintenance position.
This is a single-trade machine repair position. The person who successfully bids on this position will be required to complete or have completed the following:
- Certificate of completion as a Machine Repair Journey worker
Experience Required
High School Diploma/GED required
• Experience in a Machine Repair trade(s) or ORT position preferred; consideration may also be given to those who are currently apprentices in other trades.
• Priority will be given based on time in trade.
• Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and the ability to work independently. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required. Strong computer skills, ability to read and work from blueprints, and good math skills are preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines through good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends, are also necessary
• Working from ladders, lifts, heavy lifting, and own transportation are necessary and essential functions of the job.
• Must have or be able to obtain a PIE equipment certification shortly after taking this role.
• Job will require shift flexibility, for training rotations and to attend classes.
• Flexibility and travel to other plants may be required based on business needs
**Protective Equipment Requirement**
Must be able to wear negative and/or positive pressure respirators daily for long periods of time. Must be medically cleared to wear respirators without restrictions. If wearing a tight-fitting must be clean shaven to seal area of the respirator.
