Project Engineer

Position: Project EngineerLocation/s: Richmond, VADuration: Full time, Direct HireShift: Night Shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM)Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 AnnuallyBenefits: Insurance Offered (Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.)

Main function of job:

• Manages new product development including applications, detail design, and project engineering.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Applications Engineering
• Design Engineering
• Project Engineering

Applications Engineering

• Collaborate with sales and customers to gather application data and assess feasibility.
• Provide cost and lead time estimations for bids.
• Perform detailed analyses to ensure designs meet performance targets.

Design Engineering

• Maintain engineering documentation per our AS9100-certified Quality Procedures.
• Produce detailed drawing packages, including customer approval and manufacturing drawings.
• Assist in creating work instructions and additional manufacturing procedures.

Project Engineering:

• Facilitate the transition of projects to procurement and production.
• Guide components through production to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage project timelines and devise qualification test plans.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (other engineering degrees considered).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• A practical approach to engineering challenges and a high mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD.
