Front End Developer~ Chesapeake, VA ~ Top Secret/Poly Preferred

We are seeking a highly motivated front-end web developer to join our team. As a front-end developer, you will be responsible for the user interface and interaction of the client website. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind. You will also be responsible for implementing new features to our current website and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure interoperability and connections to multiple applications
• Maintain and improve the website
• Optimize applications for maximum speed
• Collaborate with users and back-end developers to improve usability
• Gather feedback from and build solutions based on end user feedback
• Write functional requirement documents and guides
• Create quality mockups and prototypes
• Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Requirements:

• TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
• Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph or willing to take one
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
• Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
• Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
• Experience with Linux/Red Hat Enterprise applications is preferred
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prepare technical documentation (i.e. user guides, build documentation, etc.)
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
