Job Overview:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Branch Operations is an operational leader responsible for overseeing the end-to-end onboarding of advisor teams, managing key partnerships across corporate functions, and driving operational excellence across branch locations. This individual will lead a team that supports project management, operational efficiency, business continuity, and team development. The AVP serves as a liaison between branch leadership, corporate partners, and operational teams to deliver a seamless experience, implement improvements, and foster a high-performance, advisor-centric culture.

Responsibilities:

Advisor Onboarding & Transition Management

  • Oversee pipeline and project management for advisor team transitions into the branch, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and timely onboarding experience.

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders namely corporate real estate, CBRE, technology, vendors and branch leadership to ensure readiness and seamless integration.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the primary operations liaison to Corporate Real Estate for space planning, relocations, and buildouts.

  • Own and manage escalations related to branch and advisor-facing technology in coordination with Technology and various support teams.

  • Develop and manage communications related to Business Continuity Planning (BCP), disaster recovery, and branch readiness across all locations.

Operational Reporting & Analytics

  • Create and maintain robust reporting dashboards for branch management, focusing on key operational metrics, advisor transition progress, escalation trends, and resource allocation.

  • Use data-driven insights to recommend process improvements and influence strategic decisions.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive vendor library for approved third-party technology tools.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing branch operations team, with an emphasis on coaching, learning, and continuous professional growth.

  • Identify skills gaps and build targeted development plans to enhance operational capability and future leadership readiness.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Process Optimization

  • Evaluate and streamline existing operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce risk, and improve the advisor and client experience.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma principles where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, operations, project management, branch management, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience working with operational policies, regulatory standards, and internal procedures.

  • 3+ years of proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing project management tools and data analysis platforms (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar). Vendor management system experience is a plus.

Preferences:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and manage high-impact projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex topics to both senior leadership and frontline staff. Experience in executive-level reporting and broad-based communication preferred.
