What you will do

Role Overview:

The Quality and Delivery Lead Expert is responsible for driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization. This key position will be responsible for developing and maintaining programs, processes, and metrics that support the organization’s quality approach to support utility-scale and wind and PV plants. This includes leading the quality and cross-functional teams to support the achievement of quality goals and business continuity metrics.

Main responsibilities:

  • Be the Quality leader for the company by driving and developing a strong and committed Quality culture throughout the organization 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Integrity Management System, including coordination with all departments to develop and enforce quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices. Create new quality standards and systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.  
  • Manage the Construction Quality program ensuring the improvement of efficiency, reliability, and availability of EDPR’s PV and Wind plants 
  • Build relationships with major EPC partners to ensure quality and continuous improvement of third-party services at operating sites 
  • Promote usage of the Quality Incident Management System throughout the organization. Utilize organizational and critical thinking skills to facilitate and guide cross-functional teams though all stages of the quality case process including the RCA, CA, and EA steps 
  • Develop and present weekly quality presentations to leadership showing progress on KPIs and quality initiatives 
  • Perform data analysis and data trending to define and develop quality status indicators and new performance measurements to validate continuous improvement efforts 
  • Ensure all projects follow the program framework and monitor progress through handover. 
  • Proactively communicate status and progress through weekly communications and monthly meetings to leadership 
  • Ensure that all Quality-related databases and software applications are maintained and updated ensuring data is available to all parities 
  • Indirectly supervise the quality team members  
  • Provide consulting to the construction team teams on quality systems, policies, procedures, and core processes 
  • Additional duties may be required

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance group with an emphasis on managing teams and Quality programs 
  • Familiarity with lean tools and concepts including RCA, PDCA, value stream mapping, and quality incident management 
  • Familiarity with project start-up, testing, commissioning, and project handover. Renewable Experience is preferred 
  • Possess a degree in Engineering or a related discipline. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment 
  •  Walking: Ability to walk .5 to 2 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces when on project sites. 
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form 
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds 
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand
