Senior Product Manager
LendableAbout the role
About Lendable
Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people
Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
Profitable since 2017
Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
Join us if you want to
Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
About the role
We’re looking for a curious and data-driven Sr. Product Manager to join our US team. You will be based in Washington DC area. In this role, you’ll own customer acquisition and growth for our credit card product in the US, directly contributing to Lendable’s long-term strategic trajectory. You’ll join us as we prove out the book, then take it into its next phase of growth.
You’ll be joining a small, ambitious, and fast-paced team of data-driven problem solvers. This role is best suited for someone who is analytical & iterative and solves problems from first principles. You will report directly to our CPO and partner with our US Cards Managing Director.
The role centres on originations and growth, and will cover:
Acquiring customers efficiently across direct mail, paid, aggregator and affiliate channels, building out new channels, and optimizing conversion funnels
Shaping the mobile app experience to drive activation, spend, and engagement
Owning the end-to-end origination journey, from first touch to an approved and activated account, including one-click and open-banking-enabled applications and new product offerings
Building new credit products such as cash back and rewards cards
Owning key partner integrations like those for our network, affiliate marketplace channels, and transaction & payment processing vendors
Improving our underwriting and fraud prevention capabilities to increase approvals without compromising credit quality
Owning channel economics: CAC, payback and unit economics by channel and cohort, and knowing where the next dollar of spend should go
Using AI to build, test and analyse faster than a team our size otherwise could
Your Impact
Drive the Product Vision & Roadmap
Own the strategy and roadmap for our US card product: first to market parity then past it for our current and expanding target segment through customer understanding and experimentation. Getting there means bringing Credit, Growth, Design, Data Science and Compliance with you developing your leadership and influencing skills.
Execute Hands-On
You are a hands-on builder who finds the highest-leverage problems and solves them. You write & resolve tickets, prototype, and own implementation and design decisions rather than handing them off. AI tools are a genuine force multiplier here, and we expect you to use them to build the scrappiest thing that answers the question instead of waiting for engineering capacity. The accountability stays with you: you don't ship what you can't sense-check.
