Senior Research Technician, BSL3

About the Opportunity

Job Summary

The Antimicrobial Discovery Center is looking to hire 1 full-time, benefits-eligible Senior Research Technician for immediate start and competitive salary and benefits. We are only seeking applicants that have previous BSL3 experience to assist in ongoing M. tuberculosis experiments.

Key Responsibilities

-Responsible for assisting, designing, executing, and analyzing experiments with Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection of mammalian cells.

-Responsible for performing and analyzing cell assays.

-Works with senior staff and follows established protocols.

-Assists in general support of lab function as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree 2+ years or Master’s degree, lab experience required.

-Has BSL3 certification.

-Experience working with Mycobacteria spp. highly preferred.

-Experience working with cell-based assays and/or mice is highly preferred.

-Microbiology experience is highly advantageous.

-Reliability, organization, and good communication skills are a must.
