Who We Serve
Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional age youth, families, adults, and older adults. JOB SUMMARY
Scheduled Hours per Day: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm
The Sr. Accountant works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the Agency; develops and applies accounting principles and procedures in the preparation of the Agency's general ledger system. This position is a critical independent subject matter expert in the Accounting department that ensures a well-controlled and fully functioning accounting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Maintains, analyzes, and reconciles complex general ledger accounts that comply with Agency's policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and OMB Directives.
- Analyzes general ledger accounts and prepares complex journal entries.
- Develops, maintains and runs monthly allocations.
- Ensures proper coding of general ledger system.
- Produces monthly financial statements that are timely and in accordance with GAAP.
- Reviews monthly budget variances and provides support analysis.
- Research technical accounting issues and provides solutions to management.
- Partners with Financial Planning and Analysis function to evaluate and forecast budgets, revenues, costs, and project expenditures.
- Coordinate, lead, support and provide information on funder cost report requirements including audits, contracts, orders, vouchers transactions.
- Reconciles payer cost settlement reports with submitted cost reports.
- Reconciles payer cost reports with general ledger balances by county by contract year.
- Participate and support the production of the annual budget.
- Coordinate and lead payer audits and monitoring reviews.
- Participate and support the fiscal annual Agency audit including the preparation of complex audit schedules.
- Gives guidance and support to other accounting staff members in all functional areas.
- Develops and works with the accounting staff to continuously improve the utilization of the various accounting systems and the efficiencies and effectiveness of the workflow procedures.
- Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department and business needs.
