Key Responsibilities

  • Champion Supplier Strategy - Drive forward-thinking initiatives across product development, policy implementation, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Foster Multi-functional Collaboration - Serve as the connection between Quality Engineering, R&D, Operations, Medical, and Marketing teams to seamlessly onboard new suppliers and tackle quality challenges.
  • Evangelize Quality Excellence - Promote Supplier Quality Management standards.
  • Bridge Quality Departments - Act as the essential communication conduit between quality teams, ensuring consistent supplier quality approaches.
  • Craft Compelling Training - Design and deliver engaging, impactful training programs that transform supplier quality systems knowledge at both Unit and Manufacturing Site locations.
  • Orchestrate Strategic Audits - Plan and complete comprehensive supplier audits (routine, for-cause, and follow-up) with meticulous attention to detail, driving non-conformance closure with urgency.
  • Master Quality Agreements - Skillfully author, negotiate, and finalize Quality Agreements.
  • Scout Supplier Talent - Support the discovery and thorough evaluation of promising supplier candidates that align with organizational quality standards and business objectives.
  • Accelerate Supplier Advancement - Expertly guide suppliers along their journey to Approved status, providing critical support for new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives.
  • Deliver Ongoing Quality Assurance - Provide unwavering support to existing suppliers and assigned projects, ensuring consistent quality performance throughout the relationship lifecycle.
  • Master Documentation Management - Meticulously collect, maintain, and archive all supplier documentation and compliance statements, creating an audit-ready repository of critical information.
  • Track Performance Intelligence - Monitor and report on sophisticated supplier quality metrics that drive data-informed decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Navigate Change Management - Skillfully coordinate supplier-initiated changes with relevant project teams, ensuring seamless transitions that maintain quality standards.
  • Lead Problem Resolution - Spearhead decisive problem-solving activities with suppliers in response to customer complaints or manufacturing deviations, turning challenges into opportunities for improvement.
  • Willingness to travel 15–20%.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience

  • 3 years of experience as an Internal and/or Supplier Lead Auditor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering
  • Certified Lead Auditor
  • Professional certifications such as CQA, CQE, SQE, CQM, or Six Sigma

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of Quality Systems Regulations, including GMP, ISO, FDA, MDSAP, and MDD/MDR.

  • Working knowledge of statistical methods and related software tools.

  • Familiarity with Part Production Approval Process (PPAP).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized, meticulous, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
