Primary Purpose:
Provides high quality didactic and/or clinical instruction in the field of specialty to ensure students meet course outcomes. Collaborates with college staff and colleagues to improve students’ learning experience. Works closely with the Director of Digital Dentistry to ensure that residents/students receive education in both analog and digital laboratory procedures necessary for the treatment of the patients in NSU CDM treatment centers. Provides hands on training on the production of dental ceramics and 3D printing and the use of STL files for communication with in house or external laboratories based on strict quality control/assurance protocols established by NSU CDM. (Continuing Contract)

Essential Job Functions:
Teaching
1. Provides high quality instruction in field of expertise, ensuring students meet course outcomes.
2. Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
3. Selects and obtains materials and supplies, such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
4. Prepares course materials, such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts.
5. Prepares materials for laboratory activities and course materials, such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts.
6. Identifies specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
7. Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.
8. Supervises laboratory sessions.
9. Assists students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class.
10. Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
11. Evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and/or. papers.
12. Compiles, administers, and grades examinations, or assigns this work to others.
13. Maintains regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
14. Advises students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
15. Acts as advisor to student organizations, ensuring adherence to college and university policies and procedures.
Clinical Instruction
16. Assesses clinical education needs and patient and client teaching needs using a variety of methods.
Research & Scholarship.
17. Conducts research in a particular field of knowledge and publishes findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media.
18. Reviews papers for publication in journals.
19. Supervises undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work.
Service & Professional Development
20. Participates in campus and community events, such as giving presentations to the public.
21. Actively identifies opportunities and provides service relating to fields of expertise for the benefit of internal and external communities.
22. Perform other duties as assigned.

2. Education/Training - Knowledge of principles/methods for curriculum/training design/teaching for individuals/groups, and the measurement of training effects.
