Job Summary:
Lead the bottling and warehouse maintenance and controls technician teams at Trinchero Family Estates’ (TFE) Westside Winery Facility in Lodi, CA. Oversee all maintenance programs and protocols to ensure our Bottling and Warehouse facilities are operating at the highest levels within the industry. Work closely with Production, Distribution, and the Engineering teams to ensure objectives and goals are met or exceeded. The role shall have a thorough understanding of all bottling, warehouse, facility, and process equipment and systems.
This role will lead and guide the team to be best-in-class, by focusing on people development, safety, process transformation and improvement, and service levels. There will be a focus on ensuring consistent professional execution and support of maintenance and engineering projects and the development of the Team, through the integration of standards, as well as innovative processes and the development of critical skill-sets required to be successful. This leader will enhance the quality and efficiency of TFE’s operations, by providing service-oriented solutions in addition to promoting collaboration with other groups.
Essential Functions:

- Ensure that safety, health, and environmental policies are maintained and followed. Ensure city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the department are met at all times. (OSHA, ADA, ANSI B11, EPA, etc.)
- Set the example for a positive safety environment and culture; ensure the team follows safe work practices and behaviors.
- Coordinate and lead departmental initiatives.
- Develop, sustain, and audit Maintenance Programs (i.e. Total Productivity, Predictive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Centerlines, Rounds, RCFA, etc.).
- Utilize technical skills in troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing of equipment. Demonstrates literacy and required sophistication to manage PLC environments as well as using mechanical aptitude to solve all mechanical and electrical problems.
- Utilize Maintenance’s CMMS tools and drive performance improvement with relevant metrics. (work order tracking, spare parts, equipment history, schedule compliance, PM compliance, Emergency etc.)
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving the plant operations
- Oversee and maintain storeroom activities (spare parts, supplies, MRO processes, etc.)
- Plan and manage internal and external resources (contractors, etc.) to support manufacturing and operations plans.
- Develop and review updates on the training procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory organizations; execute and document the training of the maintenance group.
- Validate and authorize Standard Operating Procedures for all maintenance activities.
- Evaluate performance of individuals on the team and develop talent across the entire department
- Manages and implements career planning and personal development of staff.
- Ensures annual performance reviews are effective and completed on time.
- Maintain positive control of the maintenance budget and participate in capital appropriation requests for new equipment.
- Plan and execute capital projects. Meet project objectives including on time delivery and budgets.
- Ensure departmental compliance to Food Safety and Quality Management programs (SQF, ISO, GMPs, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Technical degree required (Engineering or Industrial Technology)
- Have 5-7 years’ experience as Maintenance Team Leader/Manager
- Wine industry experience preferred (but open to food or other beverage if high talent)
- In-depth experience in Maintenance and Engineering
- Proven leadership skills managing and motivating team members to deliver excellent results
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
- Exceptional organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results on time
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Working Conditions:
- Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Long and irregular hours based upon business needs
- Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
