POSITION SUMMARY

Central Management Services (CMS) Division of Vehicles is looking for a candidate who is highly motivated and professional to serve as an Automotive Parts Warehouser. This position specializes in store work in the ordering, purchasing, receipt, inventorying, identification, and issuance of automotive vehicular and associated parts items. The candidate will maintain clerical records of stock received and issued, and inventory controls. The State of Illinois offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision, for self and family), Deferred Compensation Plan, 13 paid holidays, prorated based on start date. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Under direction, operates the automotive garage parts issue rooms or storerooms, and/or warehouse at the Paris Garage.
• Purchases, receives, stores, issues, and prepares for shipping automotive and vehicular parts.
• Verifies quantity and condition of automotive items received meet Procurement Services Division master contract specifications per contract.
• Maintains inventory.
• Prepares, compiles, and composes a variety of documents, including correspondence, memorandums and reports that derive from vendor invoices, work orders and receiving reports.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of high school or completion of an approved training program.
• Requires two (2) years’ experience in the keeping of automotive or vehicular stores and records or as an automotive mechanic.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prefers two (2) years of professional experience working with storeroom and war
