Job Description

As a key member of the HDD Business Marketing team, the Business Analyst's primary focus will be working within Marketing to measure and analyze the Hard Disk Drive Market. The Hard Disk Drive market consists of several segments and geographies that are dynamic. This job will help maintain key data points that are used to manage company strategy. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize data inputs from Market team to create a comprehensive analysis of the market opportunity for HDD
• Perform and consolidate market research using data from 3rd parties.
• Review historical data for accuracy and review to help improve business marketing manager forecast accuracy
• Prepare and present business updates and analysis to senior management which include business analytics of TAM, Volume, Share trends
• Extend data analysis into storylines and executable strategies
• Collaborate and provide key data to cross functional teams
• Monitor Business Marketing forecasts for potential impacts to overall TAM model and messaging
• Engage in developing tools to consolidate data and enhance analytics

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• BA/BS Pref MBA -- Business, Finance, engineering, economics, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience; semiconductor (business or product management) or experience within the data storage segment
• Critical thinker -- ability to analyze large datasets and be able to identify key conclusions
• Highly motivated, passionate about own work and for the success of the company

SKILLS

• Demonstrated success in building strong relationships internally and externally
• Strong Excel skills: data collection, management, and complex modeling. SQL, OBIEE, Tableau a plus
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills and customer presence
