Financial Accounting Associate

Summary
In this position, you will support management and team members in the preparation and presentation of financial reports and other reports, system automation, workflow enhancements and other ad-hoc projects. You possess basic knowledge of and experience in financial reporting, as well as an understanding of the financial services industry.
Core Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and assigned reports accurately and timely in accordance with US GAAP
Perform intercompany eliminations and create consolidated financial statements
Support the maintenance of strong internal controls within the team to ensure sound practices and meet the expectations of management, internal/external auditors and examiners
Engage in ad-hoc projects within the finance area
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting requirements and provide solutions to changes in requirements and other related matters
Address other relevant issues that may arise on an ad-hoc basis
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting or related areas
Strong ability to handle multiple tasks
Experience in the financial industry is preferred
Professional certification such as CPA is preferred
The expected base salary ranges from $68,000.00 -$110,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
