Position Summary Description:
The Resident Director provides supervision of his/her particular residence hall, which includes: planning and programming; supervising Resident Assistants; administration of University regulations; and residence hall upkeep. Qualified individuals will also provide leadership by serving as a role model for students. This position is designated as emergency essential.
• Annual hours: 1560 (Full-time)
• FLSA Classification: Exempt
• Reports to: Dean of Men
Essential Functions:
1. Hires and provides direct oversight for Resident Assistants.
2. Plans and implements programs for his/her residence hall.
3. Supervises the general maintenance of the residence hall.
4. Administrates the regulations in the student handbook.
5. Assists with student room assignment and processing the students moving in and checking out.
6. Oversees residence hall budget.
7. Maintains accurate records such as: discipline, Spiritual Formation Reports, Room Condition Contracts, room checks, and sign in/sign out records.
8. Cultivates relationships with students, including the RAs.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Student Development Dean/Director.

Qualifications:
1. Must provide a positive example of a mature and growing relationship with Christ.
2. Must be passionate about working with college students and willing to adjust to changing needs of each new generation of students.
3. Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
4. Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

Required Mental/Physical Abilities:
1. Ability able to hear and speak clearly.
2. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
3. Capable of visiting any residence hall room on campus without physical assistance.
