The Sr. Business Analyst PositionSunnova is searching for a Sr. Business Analyst to drive substantial analytical development for Sunnova’s Sales Operations department. The Sr. Business Analyst will work closely with a team of driven professionals to lead the development of operational tracking, reporting on service-related activity, and helping shape improvement initiatives to improve dealer experience and operational efficiency. 

Sr. Business Analyst Responsibilities

• Prepares informative analysis and reporting for key activities and projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
• Utilizes and analyzes data to make recommendations for changes to support and help drive critical business decisions and initiatives
• Creates process documentation and process flows for current and new processes
• Proactively identifies key areas for process improvement through data analysis and strategic thinking
• Performs a comprehensive review of reporting packages and documents detailed explanations for significant variances
• Supports the development, documentation, and implementation of new policies & procedures
• Completes various additional tasks and projects as requested from management
• Completes other necessary responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years business analytics experience
• Advanced knowledge of data analytics, SQL, able to turn raw data into actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solar or energy industry experience is a plus
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience with data visualization and using analytics to measure business processes impacts
• Experience in data visualization using Salesforce, Tableau or other data visualization platforms. 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight, must be able to take an objective or project idea and think through and action the steps needed to achieve the desired outcome.
• Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel analytical capability
• Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to assess metric outcomes on a relative basis and create sound recommendations based on accurate data evaluation
