Senior Account Analyst

StorageMart is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Account Analyst to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in the corporate accounting department, preparing and overseeing the accuracy and integrity of the financial records and reporting.
Pay: $90,000+ commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements for consolidations.
• Publish and distribute financial reports to Operations, Executive Management, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare DHS deposit history reports for all companies.
• Review and prepare general ledger import files from third-party applications (e.g., DHS, Storable EDGE, AppFolio); reconcile and post in GP.
• Collaborate with IT to improve accuracy of month-end imports.
• Add new assets from the general ledger to asset tracking software.
• Modify and create financial reports, manage user access, and serve as the Management Reporter administrator.
• Add and modify general ledger accounts in GP.
• Support auditors by gathering and reviewing required reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and upload budgets into GP.
• Set up new stores in GP, including GL codes, checkbooks, and journal entries.
• Review reconciliations and consolidated financial statements as needed.
• Reconcile cash and intercompany accounts (affiliate payables/receivables).
• Serve as Administrator for SmartConnect software.
• Request bank transfers and checks between companies.
• Book general ledger entries.
• Prepare and review third-party financial statements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as GP (Great Plains).
• Solid understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work effectively under pressure and be flexible with hours during peak financial and audit deadlines.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with financial systems like Management Reporter, SmartConnect, DHS, Storable EDGE, AppFolio.
