Job Summary:

The Maintenance-Electrical Apprentice program is a 4 year commitment which is a combination of classroom training at Grand Rapids Community College in addition to working alongside a skilled, Master Electrician. You will learn how to run all trade-related machines and expand your blueprint knowledge and skills.

What You Will Learn:

• Interprets electrical blueprints and schematics, recommending engineering changes as necessary
• Installs electrical apparatus (i.e.: switches, termination boxes, lights, photocells, control enclosures, etc.)
• Bends and installs conduit to meet installation requirements
• Solders electrical connectors
• Wires sub-assemblies as well as completed product
• Performs electrical analysis and troubleshooting using test equipment and devices
