We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion to teach bucket drumming for our afterschool music program. Sistema Utah is partnered with American Preparatory Academy to offer music classes after school at Title I schools. Patterned after the El Sistema movement that originated in Venezuela, it is our hope to empower our students for social change.
As our bucket drumming teacher, you will cultivate students’ soloist, ensemble, and improvisational skills as you teach groups of children in grades 2-6. The hours would be M, T, F 3:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and W, Th 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
We offer teacher training opportunities and coaching from some of the best teachers in the valley. Music degree is not required but a plus.
Qualifications
Experience/Skills
- College music degree and Suzuki Method teacher training is a plus, but not required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.75 per week
Schedule: Afterschool, Monday to Friday
