Position Summary
As a Senior Cloud Engineer in the Enterprise Data Platforms – Tools Migration and Support team, you will be responsible for owning the solution strategy for product deployment of business intelligence tools across the enterprise. The portfolio of tools includes - Data visualization, Data wrangling, and Data Analytics. You will act as a technical expert for the tools and platforms - will support users onboarding, adoption, training, solution/technology recommendations on-prem, cloud or hybrid.
What will you do:
Ensure Platform stability of all Tableau server instances including Enterprise and Proprietary, supporting business across the enterprise
Proactively identify resource constraints and plan for infrastructure expansion considering predicted growth in content and usage
Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure and Server teams in expanding infrastructure and optimal allocation of resources
Establish strong relationship with technology vendors; create Product roadmaps and deployment plans
Collaborate and establish communication with business owners and IT stakeholders – including server administration and engineering teams
Provide support to all existing users of product – including technical support leveraging product expertise
Develop usage metrics for various products used across enterprise to track and monitor performance
Advise users of best practices and help optimize technical solutions
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience with solution engineering/data architecture role in BI space
3+ years of experience using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Tableau Prep, ThoughtSpot, Alteryx)
3+ years of experience in cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure)
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience integrating data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards
Highly skilled in design and solution engineering across cloud (GCP, Azure) and on-prem infrastructure
Deep understanding of data lifecycle management (operational databases, warehouses, integration and governance, pipelining, analytics enablement, and reporting)
Exceptional decision making and strategizing skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment to get alignment on strategy
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated, independent worker, with a pulse on industry trends and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, tools, and infrastructure platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder management
Understanding of Agile/Scrum
Cloud certifications / architect (GCP, Azure)
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or any other related field.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$97,335.00 - $201,900.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
