Schedule: 7:00am – 3:30pm M-F, plus on call

Salary:  $26.14 per hour

Position Summary:

Evaluates, inspects, and properly repairs forklift/warehouse equipment and infrastructure in an orderly safe process.  Performs maintenance in the warehouse that is required by that department.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1.

Evaluate and repair material handling equipment to include forklifts, batteries and battery transport equipment, man lifts or other equipment required to get a packed case in the shipping truck.

2.

• Provide support for any warehouse needs.

3.

Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in any situation that may lead to exposure to chemicals.

4.

Responsible for daily sanitation in the forklift maintenance area. 

5.

Support a preventative maintenance program on all types of lift equipment and warehouse/shipping equipment.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Minimum 3 months related experience and/or training
• Have or be able to obtain McCain Forklift Certification, Scissor Lift Certification & Aerial Lift Certifications
• Knowledge of or ability to learn SAP and Office programs 
• Knows how to use basic hand tools, drills, grinders, etc.
• Ability to perform general fabrication work using welders, torches, roller, lathe, plasma torches, metal break and metal shear
• Language, computer and mathematical skills

 

Physical Demand:

Constant: Stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.

 

Frequently: Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and touch or hear.  Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds. 

 

Occasionally: Sit, climb or balance; and taste or smell.
