Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and Document Business Requirements (35%):
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document detailed business requirements for new systems, processes, and enhancements directly related to the business operations.
- Conduct thorough analysis of requirements, identifying dependencies, constraints, and potential impacts on existing business operations.
- Ensure alignment between business needs and proposed solutions, advocating for the interests of stakeholders throughout the requirements gathering process exercising sound discretion and judgement.
- Provide coordination and support to project teams throughout process improvement activities in support of the Six Sigma project planning phases of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.
User Acceptance Testing (35%):
- Work with Project Managers and Architects to test, track, measure and report the results of assumptions to prove or disprove theories related to project goals, potential cost savings and client service/employee benefits
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios based on documented business requirements, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional aspects directly related to the business operations.
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, IT developers, and quality assurance (QA) analysts, to validate system functionality and usability using sound discretion and judgement.
- Document and escalate issues identified during UAT, working closely with stakeholders and development teams to prioritize and address defects in a timely manner.
Process Improvement (15%):
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on business processes, systems, and operations, offering insights, influence, and guidance to support decision-making and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with business operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and automation, leveraging industry best practices and benchmarks, utilizing DMAIC and Six Sigma Training.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, representing the interests of business operations and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Continuous Improvement (15%):
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on business processes, systems, and operations, offering insights, influence, and guidance to support decision-making and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with business operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and automation, leveraging industry best practices and benchmarks.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, representing the interests of business operations and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives exercising independent judgement over important business decisions.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Green Belt or better Six Sigma Training highly preferred or 2 years previous experience with Process improvement and requirement writing.
- Insurance or financial institution experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of work-related experiences required.
