The Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) group is seeking a dynamic, strategic thinking and collaborative Associate Principal Scientist to contribute to our company's modeling and simulation capabilities for small molecule, peptide and protein therapeutic drug discovery and early clinical development efforts. This position will be based at our research labs in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will contribute to collaborative PDMB modeling and simulation efforts as a translational PK/PD subject matter expert, regularly interacting with multi-disciplinary discovery teams and partners from other functions within our company. Therapeutic area support with focus on our immunology and oncology portfolios, with the potential to contribute to cardiovascular/metabolic, neuroscience and infectious disease efforts as well. The successful candidate will be expected to represent PDMB on cross-functional teams through generation and interpretation of translational modeling and simulation strategies as well as through effective communication at both internal meetings and external conferences.
In this exciting position, your primary roles will include:
Incorporation of in vitro and in vivo data into systemic models of drug disposition, pharmacodynamics and efficacy in support of translational and reverse translational pharmacology efforts across multiple modalities and therapeutic areas
Design and optimization of novel model structures utilizing state-of-the-art modeling software to understand the impact of drug disposition on novel disease biology and pharmacological response (PK/PD) with an aim of informing on human PK and dose projections
Close collaboration with Discovery and Early Development project teams in Boston (MA), South San Francisco (CA) and West Point (PA) aimed at building highly efficient modeling and simulation strategies to identify and optimize drug candidates
Education Minimum Requirement
Ph.D (with 3+ years relevant experience), Master’s (minimum of 6 years relevant experience), or Bachelor's (minimum of 10 years of experience) degree in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering or related field
