About the Department
The Civil Engineering and Construction department has 10 full time tenured and tenure track faculty, 3 clinical teaching track, and many part time lecturers.  The department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including masters and doctoral, in civil engineering, construction engineering management, and construction management.  While the civil engineering program has been accredited continuously since its inception, the newly formed construction disciplines were first accredited in 2023.  In 2022, the full department had 70 graduate students and 190 undergraduate students. Of these, approximately 40% are in the construction program.

The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a part time non-tenure track faculty position at the level of Senior Instructor. The major responsibility of the individual in this position will be teaching courses in the undergraduate Civil Engineering and Construction program, specifically Geotechnical Engineering. The individual will serve on master’s graduate student committees and advise graduate students in topics related to geotechnical engineering. 


Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
•    Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering. 
•    5 years of teaching experience at graduate and undergraduat
