About the role:

 

The RTR Team Lead is responsible to lead a team of RTR specialists and deliver period end processes (month/ quarter/ year) as well as daily ones like balance sheet accounts reconciliations, fixed assets registration, leasing contracts maintenance, journal entry processing, standard and transfer price update, financial reports preparation or other ad hoc requests and queries coming from business partners. The RTR Team Lead is responsible for managing closing activities in accordance with group-wide international accounting principles and standards for the assigned scope with high quality, within the agreed SLAs, timelines and accounting standards & controls.
The RTR Team Lead is responsible for daily workload management, defining goals for team members, team motivation as well as definition of own and team members’ career paths and developing the skill set of the employees through a competency path over years.
The RTR Team Lead acts as a driving force to foster standardized process solutions. He/She is a recognized subject matter expert in terms of closing, operational and financial reporting. 
The RTR Team Lead leads process and system improvements and optimizes financial closing. This role develops and maintains the RTR governance framework through documentation, service level agreements (SLAs), and training initiatives.

The role provides the accounting and financial advisory support to other team members plus consultancy to R2R Manager and R2R GPO, being actively supporting in RTR transformation journey execution.

This role acts as a backup for R2R Manager.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and develop a Team of RTR Specialists from accounting and process point of view and if necessary support them and escalate blocking points to GL Manager or Global Process Owner
  • Daily cooperation with COE and RTR Manager in regards closing activities
  • Set priorities and rebalance workload of the Team when needed, to ensure service to business is delivered in full and on time
  • Based on Service Level Agreements in place, deliver processes and reports on time, in full and in good quality.
  • Be a point of contact for internal customers (Group, Regions etc.)
  • Coordinating and managing the transition of RTR activities as well as on managing robust backup structures and teams for financial consolidation
  • Train team members through various learning and development initiatives (e.g., knowledge-sharing)
  • Document and improve RTR processes. Develop, maintain, and promote financial knowledge related to SAP (Process improvements)
  • Drive reporting standardization, efficiency and automation by critically looking at transferred processes, and continuously improving existing processes
  • Act as a gate-keeper to ensure standardization / automation when processes are transferred to the GBS
  • Hold internal trainings on financial topics
  • Cooperation with financial auditors
  • Respond to questions and provide support to local entities, chief accountants and other SSC departments in area of finance general accounting
  • Taking ownership for complex accounting problems resolution, proactive communication, escalation and follow up
  • Support and drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions, including transformation projects, and communicate them to the GL Manager and Global Process Owner

 

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or similar field
  • At least 4 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience in F&A (finance and accounting) shared services center environments preferred
  • Accounting knowledge
  • Proven team leader
  • Participation in the transitions of processes and their standardization preferred
  • Maturity in the stakeholder management
  • Skills in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and SAP
  • RPA & Power BI experience will be an asset
  • Fluency in English language
