You will work independently, contributing to your immediate team and collaborating across functions to deliver robust, scalable software solutions.<br/><br/>We are looking for candidates who can be physically present at our location in Helsingborg, Sweden.<br/><br/>In this role, you’ll actively participate in design discussions, apply strong Python and statistical expertise, and help shape advanced imaging technologies that support critical healthcare diagnostics.<p></p><p></p><h1><b>Job Description</b></h1><h2><span><span><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></span></span></h2><p></p><p><span>In this role, you will:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Design and implement core components of a medical imaging platform, including image processing pipelines, data ingestion modules, and visualization tools.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Development of AI-powered features, such as image segmentation, anomaly detection, and classification using deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Optimize performance and scalability of imaging algorithms for large-scale deployment in hospital and research environments.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing, integration, and secure deployment of imaging applications.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Apply rigorous software engineering practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and documentation, to ensure reliability and maintainability.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Integrate statistical models and data analysis techniques into imaging workflows to support clinical decision-making and research insights.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coach and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to architectural decisions, technology evaluations, and roadmap planning for imaging software products.</span></p></li></ul><h2><span> </span></h2><h2><span><b>Required Qualifications</b></span></h2><ul><li><p><span>Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline</span></p></li><li><p><span>6 years of professional software development experience with history of technical innovation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Solid understanding of Linux environments and shell scripting</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering principles</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated experience applying statistical methods to real-world problems, ideally in healthcare or imaging.</span></p></li><li><p>Must be physically present at our location in Helsingborg</p></li></ul><h2><br/><span><b>Desired Characteristics:</b></span></h2><ul><li><p><span>PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or a related field</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with Unix / Linux based systems</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, MDR) for medical software</span></p></li><li><p><span>Hands-on experience with AI and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to implement and optimize ML models for image classification, segmentation, or enhancement</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience in medical imaging, particularly in MRI and/or radiotherapy domains</span></p></li><li><p><span>Research experience and/or clinical experience</span></p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>Why Join Us?</b></h2><p></p><p>At GE Healthcare, you’ll drive innovation in RF and power electronics, contributing to medical technologies with a global impact.
