Key Job Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process and expedite customer sales orders, ensuring accuracy and prompt follow-up on order status.
- Provide detailed quotations, pricing information, and realistic lead times to customers to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain a vigilant approach to safety in all daily operations, contributing to a secure workplace environment.
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency in addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues swiftly.
- Track orders and shipments systematically, leveraging technology to ensure transparency and communication.
- Demonstrate excellent multitasking capabilities to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Utilize superior verbal and written communication skills to liaise with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Oversee the release and shipment of orders, ensuring compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Interpret and apply knowledge from parts manuals and technical drawings to assist customers accurately.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Manage customer credits and adjustments with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in freight operations by unloading/loading trucks and inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for damage.
- Operate warehouse equipment including manual power hoists, dollies, lifts, and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Regularly review open order reports to expedite pending orders and resolve bottlenecks.
- Actively contribute to weekly safety meetings, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Review and approve freight bills to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels to adjust minimum and maximum thresholds, supporting optimal stock management.
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Prepare in-transit stock locator (sloc) reports to maintain visibility of inventory movement.
- Generate transport order open reports to track and manage outstanding deliveries.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings to reinforce commitment to health and safety standards.
- Provide after-hours on-call support for the parts department to ensure continuous service availability.
- Assist with purchasing activities, collaborating closely with procurement to meet business needs.
Occasional/As Needed Responsibilities:
- Conduct visits to mine sites for customer service and engagement meetings, strengthening partnerships.
- Provide backup support for the Buyer role during absences, ensuring uninterrupted purchasing operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent formal education.
- Have between 4 to 8 years of progressive experience in materials management, inventory control, or customer fulfillment roles within a similar industry.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for effective data management and communication.
- Exhibit subject matter expertise (SME) in CDK and SAP software systems, capable of leveraging these tools for order processing, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Hold a strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and promoting a safety-first culture.
