Job Summary

Job Details

River Roast is a combination restaurant and event venue. In events, every day is different between weddings, corporate events, and social events ranging from 30 to 700 guests. We are looking for seasonal banquet servers to join our banquets team for our upcoming busy season.

Qualifications, Job Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests by following safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
• Availability to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends and late nights.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours or more.
• Exhibit strong communications skills to work with staff from other departments and perform job duties during larger scale events and functions.
• Ensure that the event space is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep guest areas neat and orderly while maintaining established sanitation standards.
• Follow established steps of service to take orders and deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation practices.

• Demonstrate an understanding of menu items and ingredients in order to communicate the reasonable accommodations to guests with specialized diets and allergies.

• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.

• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information directly to the supervisor.

• Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Follow proper cash-handling procedures when required.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• ServSafe Food Handlers License, BASSET Certification
