INTERPOL is now looking for a qualified candidate as a strategic and Operational Coordinator within the Executive Directorate Police Services Support Office (EDPSO) which is part of the​​​​​​ Executive Directorate Police Services (EDPS).

SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES,

INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST

Strategic & Operational Coordinator, under supervision of the Assistant Director EDPSO,  is responsible to support EDPS managers (including the Heads of RBs) in coordinating operations, defining and updating policies and SOPs for operations, providing yearly planning and operational advice, following up on post-operation information collection, and liaise with the IGCI on operations. The incumbent is responsible for promoting INTERPOL’s operational tools and services.

Operations Coordinator is central contact point for police operations matters.

 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

DUTY 1:  Monitor and coordinate operations

 

  • Coordination with all  involved units,
  • Ensure compliance with policy and organizational priorities,
  • Assist with the budget and human resource planning for operations,
  • Report on regional balance and crime areas to ensure INTERPOL provides operations in manner that is relevant that its global membership,
  • Collect and/or draft short summaries for each operation.

 

DUTY 2:  Support and advice to the EDPS managers

 

  • Serve as point of contact for any questions from managers regarding strategies and operational matters,
  • Provide managers -upon request and periodically- an overview of planned and carried out operations,
  • Identify and report duplication of operations and assist concerned managers in resolving issues,
  • Assist management in the success’ evaluation of the operations against preset criteria, including through debriefings,
  • Identify improvements to the implementation of operations.
  • Assist with operational items related to statutory meetings and Executive Committee.
