Summary: The Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for the documentation, creation, and analysis of reporting metrics highlighting existing and future business processes across all areas of the Credit Union. The Analyst will be responsible for creating, modifying, and upkeep of long-term reporting solutions as well as specific one-time requests to help the company identify areas where current processes are in need of revision.

             

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in managing the optimization of the credit union’s balance sheet (asset/liability management) by developing ALM strategies, monitor market conditions, create and manage financial models to simulate market scenarios
  • Query large data sets from multiple sources and develop dashboards, charts and graphs to illustrate various reports using spreadsheet and analytic software
  • Analyze company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and economic information
  • Assist management, as assigned, in all areas of analysis including division/product cost analysis, risk analysis, operational analyses, and balance sheet trends and forecasts
  • Perform cost analysis of credit union products, services, programs and departments presently in place and proposed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Finance or Information Technology required
  • 2-5 years of similar or related experience required
  • Graduate degree in Business or Information Technology is a plus and may be considered in place of related experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience writing SQL queries, including complex joins, sub queries, and complex calculations.
  • Experience running statistical analysis
  • Full working knowledge of financial statements and basic accounting principles and theory preferred

Computer/Software Skills:    

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with intermediate Word and Power Point
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience writing SQL queries
  • Tableau experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Anaplan a plus
