Youth Partners play a crucial role as the main mentor for youth within their foster home or placement acting as role models, offering support, and serving as informal counselors in the Raleigh/Wake Forest community.

Youth Partners

  • Will be trained in Motivational Interviewing and Wraparound principles and Trauma Informed Care.
  • Will attend all CFTMs for youth they’re working with.
  • Will have a caseload of no more than 10 youth at a time (can be less depending on the acuity/risk of the youth on their caseload because the key to this program is the frequency/intensity of the support and contacts).

  • Will maintain a rotating schedule for on-call. They will work non-traditional hours and their schedules will flex around the needs of their youth. The expectation is that each youth partner will provide a minimum of 2 direct contact hours with every youth on their caseload each week.
