Principal Continuous Improvement Specialist

As a senior member of the Continuous Improvement Team, you will coach all levels of the organization on Lean Systems thinking, problem solving, and improvement methodologies. You will act in coordination with the Continuous Improvement Director as a change agent as we continue to implement and build upon The Catalent Way. This includes leading high impact projects, working within the functional areas to build capability and maturity, and ensuring sustainable improvements are made.
This is a full-time on-site salaried position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Role:
- Conduct large scale improvement projects using appropriate tools and disciplines such as DMAIC, PDCA, A3, etc. while leading teams to address business process problems and design new processes to achieve results
- Contributor to the development and execution of CI roadmap
- Collaborate with other CI members from other sites and share best practices
- Facilitate advanced problem-solving and Rapid Improvement sessions to lead teams to address improvement opportunities
- Interact at all levels of the organization, instilling a sustained continuous improvement culture at all levels
- Coach site senior leaders and to establish performance measurement systems and goals aligned with organizational objectives
- Conduct Kaizen Leader Training and mentor Kaizen leaders
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- Requires B.S/B.A. in Biological Science, Engineering or related field with at least 10 years of operations and leadership experience
- 7-10 or more years of hands-on experience in an Operational Excellence System deployment across a business is required
- Master Black Belt certification or equivalent preferred
- Expert competencies in applying Continuous Improvement principles and techniques in several industries, production or service environment is required
