IT Senior Business Analyst

The Role
As an IT Senior Business Analyst with Presidio, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and technology teams. In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives, optimize business processes, and ensure solutions align with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate combines advanced analytical skills, business acumen, and technical expertise with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.  You will lead end-to-end business analysis efforts for complex projects, serve as a liaison across business and IT, and guide the design and delivery of scalable solutions.

Travel Requirements: 

This will be a remotely based role located in the Continental Unites States with up to 5% travel.

Responsibilities Include:

• Partner with executives, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions both near-term and future 
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and design meetings to gather and validate requirements 
• Conduct business process modeling, gap analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making 
• Identify and guide tool / process improvements, technology innovations, and enhancements 
• Translate business needs into actionable user stories, functional requirements, and technical specifications 
• Oversee documentation (BRDs, FRDs, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, presentations) 
• Actively participate / complete end-to-end testing to ensure solutions meet the business and technical requirements 
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery 
• Manage / Support UAT planning and execution, demos, and solution validation 
• Monitor KPIs and business outcomes, recommending improvements where needed 
• Mentor Junior Analysts, promoting best practices in process, analysis, and documentation 
• Adhere to and champion the Presidio SDLC 
• Provide level 2 application support and maintain system / process documentation 

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or MIS) or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience 
• 5-7 years of experience working as an adept Business Analyst on Software Development teams 
• Proficiency (can use independently, apply best practices, troubleshoot) with D365 or Certinia. This would include Functional Design experience 
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities 
• Skilled in business process modeling, requirements elicitation, and gap analysis 
• Ability to simplify complex systems and processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-making 
• Proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent work streams and shifting priorities 
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
• Strong presentation and facilitation abilities, including creating and delivering impactful materials 
• Skilled at conducting interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to surface essential requirements 
• Experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships with business units, partners, and executives 
• Adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in dynamic and fast-changing environments 
• Broad business and technical knowledge, with the acumen to connect people, processes, and tools to achieve organizational goals 
• Strong working knowledge with SQL, Salesforce, Power BI, and technical writing 
• Advanced in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio / LucidChart 
• Advanced in agile software development methodologies and Board management
