Job Summary 

The position of Material Handler to perform various duties in warehouse environment to include receiving, order picking, packaging and shipping. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day activities and provide outstanding customer service to our clients. Essential Job Responsibilities 

• Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of inbound & outbound shipments 

• Hand picked orders utilizing RF Scanner and picked tickets 

• Conducting daily equipment checklist requirements and maintain cleanliness of equipment 

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products 

• Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, and storage areas 

• Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory 

• Prepare, properly package and labeled shipments 

• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move freight 

• Perform cycle counts 

• Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines 

 

 

Experience/ Skills Requirements 

• Warehouse and logistics experience (1-2 years) 

• Certification in forklift operation and other warehouse equipment used to move freight 

• Knowledge of operating warehouse equipment   

• Data entry and basic math skills  

• Ability to perform the physical labor an to lift objects weighing between 20-70 pounds 

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to read and comprehend Safety Manual & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) 

• Written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software, e.g. RF handheld scanners  

• Knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
