About the role

<p>As mechanical engineer, the candidate will join a collaborative team to develop innovative nano-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple projects. The individual will be responsible for hardware development during all phases of a development cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, test, integration, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>It is expected that the individual will have an ability and desire to learn, grow, and discover continuously. Specific tasks will Include:</p><ul> <li> Working in a small team environment closely with electrical, systems and launch engineers to develop optimal solutions to complex problems</li> <li> Participating in hardware requirements generation, design, implementation, and testing discussion with multiple team members</li> <li> Develop assembly procedures, test plans, and fabrication documentation</li> <li> Participating in team discussions involving vehicle arrangement and design for ongoing and future projects</li> <li> Maintaining and updating the 3D model database</li> <li> Identifying appropriate materials and chemical coatings for spacecraft parts</li> <li> Working in both an office and lab environment</li> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>NOTE</strong>: <em>Vacancy is expected to be filled in no more than 30 calendar days from the completion of the hiring process.</em></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>BS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent degree required</li> <li> Strong mechanical background</li> <li> Ability in working with solid modeling software and FEA (SolidWorks, Femap)</li> <li> Knowledgeable and proficient in applying advanced engineering principles</li> <li> Quick to grasp abstract problems and creative in visualizing solutions</li> <li> Productive in craftsmanship and attentive to detail</li> <li> Ability to document complex designs and procedures with attention to detail</li> <li> Good communication with team members, and ability to provide and receive constructive criticism</li> <li> Ability to work with flight hardware in a controlled environment</li> <li> Ability to use precision inspection equipment, i.e. micrometers, indicators, (usually acquired by machining or other precision hands-on experience)</li> </ul><p>Proficient use of written and oral English language is mandatory</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Tyvak International S.R.L. is the first European subsidiary of Terran Orbital Corporation.</p><p>The corporation’s technical team is one of the most experienced small satellite groups in the industry with unique experience and capabilities in the development of nanosatellite missions and advanced technologies.</p><p>The main company office is located in Torino, Italy.</p><p>Salary and benefits are market competitive.
