The accounts payable manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department and employees, and for related preparation and review of all standard accounting/department records and reports. Responsible to ensure accurate and efficient accounts payable department systems and procedures are in place. Provide timely and accurate information and analysis that will assist the corporate administration to fulfill the mission of the organization. Directly supervise accounts payable supervisors. Facilitate and promote activities and communications, which consistently emphasize customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Lead the accounts payable team and ensure accurate, timely processing of invoices and expenditures.
• Oversee general ledger entries, A/P data processing, and reconciliation of related accounts.
• Recommend and implement improvements to A/P systems and procedures in collaboration with the Controller.
• Manage vendor relationships and respond to audit and government inquiries with Controller support.
• Assist with research, reporting, and development of financial practices and forecasts.
• Support special projects and departmental initiatives as directed.
• Ensure timely and accurate issuance of 1099s and maintain compliance documentation.
• Oversee lease administration, including system management (Yardi), timely payments, and file audits.
• Supervise and mentor the Lease Administrator to improve operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service, promote teamwork, and support staff training and development.
• Uphold Dungarvin’s mission and respect for individual rights in all duties.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field
• 2+ Experience in managing a team
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial software
• Must possess sound decision-making skills and exercise independent judgment
Preferred:
• Experience in Workday and/or Great Plains platforms
• Experience with acquisitions
