POSITION: Production Lead
HOURS: 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Monday thru Friday, with availability to work weekends/overtime

COMPENSATION: $23.79
REPORTS TO:  Production Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT: Full time

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Works closely with production supervisors to manage day-to-day operations of processing areas.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

• Ensures efficient and accurate set-up of line for day’s production run, including line settings, paperwork, team member placement, etc. according to product/company SOPs.
• Verifies completion of critical department paperwork and checks throughout the shift, ensuring data is entered into the computer accurately and timely.
• Communicates key information both within assigned department and across other departments with professionalism and urgency.
• Maintains working knowledge of production line, including equipment and product SOPs, safety training, and production metrics (yield, efficiency, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to very cold; noise; humidity; moving vehicles; slippery floors; possible heavy and repeated lifting.  Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Production experience across multiple areas of processing. Must pass Company math test. A team oriented individual, with strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must complete Powered Industrial Truck, Lock Out/Tag Out and Hazard Communication safety training courses.  Must meet Production Back & Task requirements.  Must have basic computer literacy.  Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 9 hours per day. SAP Experience and Bilingual Skills (Spanish and English) a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, outdoor in various weather conditions, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment
as necessary or required.
