The Opportunity Lead a team of claims staff in assigned sub-region by directing and monitoring efficient claims operations, coordinating the distribution of losses, and providing technical knowledge, training and guidance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of claims staff in an assigned sub-region, ensuring the overall output and quality of the service provided meets and exceeds goals
•Integrate new joiners into the team and organization so that they become effective in their role
•Act as a referral point for the team so that their technical or procedural queries are handled
•Liaise with Manager and other Leads to identify training needs within the department so that learning solutions can be planned and monitor processes and procedures to ensure compliance with both statutory and corporate service standards and regulations, and look for efficiencies and ways to automate processes
•Apply claims judgment in order to audit claims within assigned sub-region throughout the process from notice of loss to payment
•Provide excelled customer service by communicating with agents, claimants, field staff and other key stakeholders around claim status, disputed claims, product documents, escalated questions and problems and general information requests
•Audit adjuster expense vouchers by performing random field audits and tracking individual adjuster activity
•Assist in developing a culture of empowering people to continuously improve the performance of the team

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Required Experience

• 3 years relevant experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP); must possess a valid Driver’s License

•Identify information and facts that are necessary and relevant for the purposes of evaluating a claim

•Respond calmly, quickly and decisively to unpredictable or unexpected events and changes

Preferred Experience

• Experience Crop adjusting including multi-peril and crop hail

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

• Licenses per State Requirements

Preferred Knowledge

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, general computer software and database systems
•Applied working knowledge of claims adjusting and handling best practices
