Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Brighter Futures team. This role is integral to supporting patients on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders and mental health challenges. The MA will assist in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in both clinic and mobile settings, contributing to a multidisciplinary team committed to holistic treatment approaches.

Who We Are
Brighter Futures is Boone Memorial Health’s comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health treatment program located in Madison, WV. Through a team-based and patient-centered approach, Brighter Futures offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), therapy, peer recovery support, case management, and career-readiness services for individuals seeking recovery and long-term wellness. Qualifications
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive patient populations

Competency in basic clinical and clerical functions
Preferred:
-
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or equivalent)
-
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR)
-
Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment
Responsibilities
-
Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
-
Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
-
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and waived testing

Administer medications and injections as directed

Schedule patient procedures and follow up on visits and labs

Ensure accurate charting and EMR documentation

Maintain inventory and assist in ordering medical supplies

Uphold confidentiality and patient dignity at all times

Support overall clinic flow and daily operations
