JOB SUMMARYLeads the Sterile Processing Department by developing goals and objectives which align with organizational values. Oversees the development of policies which affects the sterilization processes of perioperative and clinic areas. Assesses the operating and capital expenditure budgets to insure they meet approved requirements. Monitors and establishes processes to ensure that all practices of the Sterile Processing Department are within the established guidelines of the appropriate regulatory agencies. Assess problems and determines plan of action.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages central sterile processing and endoscopy tech specialist staff to ensure department and hospital guidelines are adhered and followed.
• Assists and conducts written and final performance conversation with staff following departmental and intuitional policies.
• Monitors quality assurance standards, programs and procedure within the unit/area.
• Develops goals and objectives for Central Sterile Processing based on interpretation of the policy and goals of Perioperative and Procedural Services.
• Ensures the most effective operations of Central Sterile Processing through program development, process improvement and coordination/integration of processes within Perioperative and Procedural Services and other departments.
• Serves as an operational coordinator of Sterile Processing activities for all Perioperative and clinic areas.
• Reviews departmental finances to meet institutional standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree-Preferred
3-5 years leadership experience in Sterile Processing Environment preferred
Hospital experience preferred, will consider Surgery Center experience
Certifications: CRCST, CIS, CER or ability to achieve
Experience with DaVinci equipment
Exceptional communication skills
Core hours day shift but must be available for 24/7 operations
