Financial Analyst - Fleet

Position Summary: The fleet financial analyst works closely with fleet, finance, and accounting departments to enhance financial analyses and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities include reporting monthly financials, budget versus actual analysis, standard cost accounting, and budgeting.
Essential Functions:
- Work closely with fleet department to enhance financial analyses and reporting capabilities including standard monthly report and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Budget Versus Actual Reporting:
- Analyzing variances to assist in reforecast process
- Providing detailed explanations to Finance Manager
- Budgeting / Reforecast:
- Assist with Fleet Budget and additional forecasts
- Assists with setting standard cost rates
- Support fleet initiatives and projects including, but not limited to:
- Month End Management reports
- Budget versus actual analysis
- Assist Operations on fleet inquiries
- Process improvement analyses
- Validate standard cost rates updated in system
- Assist with managing PO processes
- Collect financial data to assist Finance Manager in decision making
- Review transactional invoices as needed
- Occasionally prepare/submit Journal Entries
- Ad hoc projects based on prior experience, or potentially preference
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree; in finance or accounting or other related field
- Strong background in financial forecasting and modeling is desired
- Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
