Registered Nurse (RN) Admissions and Recovery IR and Cath Lab

Inova Alexandria Hospital is hiring a full time Admissions and Recovery Registered Nurse to join their team! 

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts; 7a-5.30p.  No weekends, No holidays, No on-call requirement.

Our vascular program takes a pioneering approach to the treatment of vascular disease through personalized and comprehensive treatments.

About the Department and the Position: The Invasive Cardiovascular Labs are comprised of 6 labs (Cardiac Cath Labs, Interventional Radiology Labs, and Electrophysiology Labs) and will such cases as Coronary, Heart, Caths and Peripherals. 

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required. Your ability to determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.

 

Job requirements

A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.  Prefer 2+ year of Pre/Post - Op and/or telemetry nursing experience. 

Education:

BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

• If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association (AHA)

RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
