Inventory Operations Supervisor

Job Purpose

This position will be focusing primarily on our Motive Power applications, which include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment. Some of the motive power brands include Hawker, Ironclad, General Battery, and Fiamm. Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Following all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.
• Interacting with all levels of personnel, both internal and external to EnerSys.
• Supervising locally-owned responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, local regulations, OSHA, and EPA requirements pertaining to the facility.
• Scheduling, prioritizing, coordinating, and assigning activities to inventory dedicated staff.
• Working with the office employees to manage daily, weekly, and monthly related items.
• Overseeing and ensuring all company policies and procedures are being followed in entirety.
• Supervising, hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations of direct reports.
• Providing support, direction, and coaching to subordinate employees in the areas of disciplinary action and problem resolution.
• Overseeing inventory control procedures, such as, but not limited to, physical inventory cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies as required.
• Maintaining all corporate metrics related to the distribution center, customer service, on-time delivery, and budgets.
• Implementing change, improving processes, leading teams, operations planning, and general inventory ownership.
• Working alongside other similar roles within a cohesive team that provides backup support to all inventory movements during use of PTO or any potential disruption.
• Closely overseeing inventory, inventory rotation, and inventory accuracy through direct reports' actions.
• Following packaging and shipping specifications by customers or ISO standards.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma. Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office. Previous industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some manufacturing, assembly, or electrical experience is a plus. A Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years experience in distribution industry

General Job Requirements

• This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
• This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
